My name is Gerthein Boersma. I am a freelance writer of varied content, including video games.

• My main claim to fame in this area is 'Lake', for which I was one of three writers. A narrative game published in 2021, Lake received glowing reviews. It was praised for its plot, characters and atmosphere and was named one the best games of 2021 by The New Yorker.


• In 2023, we followed up the success of Lake with the release of prequel DLC: 'Lake: Season's Greetings'. It again was praised for its writing.


• I have worked on various other titles, some of which are still in active development, several of which did not make it out of development hell. Ask me about them sometime!


• My work extends far beyond gaming. In fact, my main gig is as a writer for some of the Netherlands' most popular television shows. You can read all about it on my main page (if you can read Dutch).
